SEWA, in collaboration with the University of Pennsylvania, USA, is introducing a first-of-its-kind initiative in Assam’s tea Estates. Over four days, young individuals from 10 tea estates will receive specialized training in (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) CBT-based counseling to provide counselling services under the supervision of a team of Psychologists within their respective tea estates to address alcohol-related issues.




Guided by experts Professor Abhijit Nadkarni and Psychologist Urvita Bhatia, Research fellow from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. These counselors will offer dedicated support to make a meaningful impact within their respective tea estates across Biswanath, Golaghat, Jorhat, Dibrugarh, and Tinsukia districts. This transformative program aims to create healthier, more resilient communities.
